BLADE TIP CLEARANCE AND TIP TIMING MEASUREMENT SYSTEM

Capablade System is the unique complete system measuring at real time Blade Tip Clearance and Tip Timing using the same capacitive sensors.

The system is composed by high performances sensors able to withstand temperature as high as 1300 °C without cooling. A robust cable available in length of up to 30 meters, is compatible with coaxial and triaxal sensors and is connected with a sophisticated electronic system.

A static calibration facility provides easy and cost effective calibration: the blade positioned in front of the sensor is enough to allow a full and reliable calibration without dynamic test.

The electronic module works with a method that compensates insulation losses to maintain the performance level even under extreme conditions, such as in polluted environments or with high temperatures.

Each module has a smart coupling function which provides automatic sensor and cable adaptation. This allows to use Capablade universally, with a simple plug-and-play function.

A dedicated software is provided to extract and export the measurements using specific algorithms. Blade clearance measurement (average or blade per blade) and vibration spectrum are available in real time.

The measured data are recorded to an external disk for an easy transfer and for post processing. Export functions to third party software are also included in the package.

Capablade is a complete equipment designed for high performance measurement. The ability to process BTC and BTT in an open architecture make it a cost effective solution for complete turbine monitoring.

Fogale propose also a complete family of capacitive chains for displacement measurement up to 600°C. The main applications are shaft displacement, disk displacement, off axis and casing distortion measurements.
